Ceramic coating in Belgrade

We apply ceramic coating to paint, glass, wheels, headlights and interior leather. For paint we use Gyeon, CarPro and Meguiar’s — how long each one lasts is listed below, next to the prices.

What a ceramic coating gives you

  • Dirt washes off more easily and water runs off — the car is easier to wash.
  • Road salt and bird droppings eat into the paint less if they’re washed off in time.

A ceramic coating doesn’t make paint invulnerable: it won’t stop stone chips or deep scratches, and careless washing will bring swirls back over time. We’ll tell you how to look after the car afterwards.

Paint first

A ceramic coating seals the paint as it is: swirls and scratches stay underneath. So we always polish before ceramic — even on a new car we go over the paint with a soft pad to make it clearer and glossier. We’ll tell you how many steps it needs at the inspection.

About polishing

Products and prices

We pick the product to suit the job and budget: the longer it lasts, the more it costs. For paint the price is the same for any car; for leather it depends on the class. All prices in dinars (RSD).

How long it lasts on paint

  • Gyeon (6–8 months) — lasts just that long
  • CarPro — 8–12 months
  • Gyeon (2 years) — in practice a year to a year and a half
  • Meguiar’s — up to 3–5 years

CarPro goes on as an even film, like thin ice, and makes dark colours deeper. Gyeon is clear as glass with a candy-like gloss. Meguiar’s is our most expensive ceramic, chosen for show cars and top-end cars.

It depends on care. Over time road grime builds up on the coating and water stops beading as well. Once a month the car needs a wash with a dedicated ceramic shampoo — it lifts that layer and the coating works like new again. We have that shampoo. Leave the car unwashed for months and the coating works worse and wears off sooner.

How long it takes

From one day: polishing first, then the coating needs 12–24 hours, ideally a full 24, to cure — the car stays with us all that time. We’ll give the exact time at the inspection.

Ceramic or wax

We use two waxes. Soft99 claims up to 12 months for Fusso, but with our clients it has lasted anywhere from 10 months to 6 to just one — it all comes down to washing: cheap, harsh chemicals at self-service washes strip wax fast. Meguiar’s carnauba lasts 2–3 months but gives the deepest, richest gloss — people choose it before a sale or for the summer.

Wax looks great on both white and dark cars, but it's fussy: it can go patchy after the first or second bad wash. Ceramic costs more but is more practical in the long run. If the car doesn't always get a good wash, it will forgive a few bad ones, and it handles harsh alkaline chemicals better than wax — though it can still be damaged. That's why we usually recommend ceramic.
